Out and About -- Photo "Phriday"

An errand day around town today, and so I thought I'd post some pictures of our very early, but nonetheless lovely, spring.

Bradford pears outside the local sports club.

Mustard in bloom on the road home.

Vineyards are still sleeping.

  1. Wow. What a stark contrast to the photos I posted shortly after this post! Your town looks so beautiful. Are there a lot of tourists this time of year? I would think you are inundated with people from the Midwest/Great Lakes/New England!

    1. Actually February is one of our slowest months at the winery, which tells me there are NOT a lot of tourists around. Typically it is known as our rainy season, although that probably only means a few days out of the whole month, but it seems to be enough to scare a lot of people away. It's sad, because high season -- summer -- is hot and brown and we definitely are not at our best then, in my opinion!

  2. If I posted pictures of my town, you probably wouldn't be able to see much for all the snow!

I used to love the snow in my younger years. I was an avid cross country skier and actually prayed for snow. Now that I can no longer ski, I would be happy never to see snow again.

How wonderful it is to have spring come so early!
